The Research Grant Development team in Research and Innovation Services (RIS) is running a writing series over five Fridays, starting from 11 June, to guide you through the process of preparing an application.

The five sessions will provide essential guidance on the application sections for the Royal Society University Research Fellowships, alongside time to write and receive one-to-one feedback from the team.

The sessions will held on Friday mornings from 10.00-12.00 starting 11 June. These workshops are as follows:

  1. Introduction to the Royal Society URFs: an A-Z of the application process - 11 June

  2. Writing Sprint #1: Personal statement, Abstract and Lay summary - 18 June

  3. One to one feedback and free writing time - 25 June

  4. Writing Sprint #2: Aims and Objectives, Methodology, Justification of host organisation, data management - 2 July

  5. One to one feedback and free writing time - 9 July
