The University of Bath has always supported its students and Alumni through challenging economic times as Dr Cassie Wilson, our Vice-President (Student Experience) explains in her short video message.
Launching on 15 July, World Youth Skills Day, specifically for you, the class of 2020, we’ve put together a special programme of support and activities, helping you to thrive professionally and personally – pandemic or not – wherever you are in the world.
Our Stay Connected programme includes:
- Podcasts to help you build your resilience to cope with uncertainty, financial pressure and living back with your family.
- Weekly virtual online discussions to learn how to kick-start your job search in a volatile market, find job opportunities that will strengthen your CV and develop your networking skills.
- Access to online resources to learn how to recognise and present your strengths effectively to a prospective employer, discover your core values to help you identify the best employer for you, and brush up your communications skills to deliver presentations with impact.
- Networking with our existing worldwide Bath Alumni community, already pursuing careers in many different sectors.
If you're choosing to undertake further study at postgraduate level, you can brush up on your academic skills, and get ahead before you start your course through our UG to PGT Study programme, which will run during August and September. Look out for more information on this programme coming soon via email.
As graduates of the University of Bath, you are special to us, so we've created an award to help support you to continue studying here and develop your career. Our postgraduate progression award is a token of our appreciation for your choice to stay part of our community. You can find out more about whether you are eligible for a 20% discount off postgraduate tuition fees for the 2020/21 academic year, if you graduated from Bath in December 2019 or finished your studies in 2019/20.
To access the Stay Connected community, simply complete the ‘What’s Next’ survey. This should take no more than five minutes and will enable us to continue to add to this programme by responding to your needs. We will be in touch very soon with details of how you can access the Stay Connected programme of events, so look out for an email from us.
Don’t forget to join the entire University community at our virtual event on 29 July to celebrate and congratulate you on graduating this year. Please save the date and look out for more information to be published via email, the University website and social media.
