You can be tested once or twice a week with a quick and easy swab kit you administer yourself, with some expert guidance.

But why should you take part? Here are just three reasons:

  1. You will be helping to protect your housemates and anyone you’re in a bubble with, as you will find out earlier if you have Covid and will be able to self-isolate.

  2. Covid kills, particularly those who are vulnerable. Testing helps to break the chain of transmission, cutting hospitalisations and reducing deaths.

  3. The sooner we tackle the virus, the sooner we can get back to increased normality, with more services, shops and hospitality reopening – and a return to a normal campus experience.

Our friendly site team are also currently giving out a voucher as a thank you and to make being safe a little more fun! You can redeem your £2.50 voucher at Limetree or 4 West Café, including the £1 lunch deal at 4 West. Voucher valid to month end.

You can take your test at The Edge building on campus or the Dartmouth Avenue building in Oldfield Park, which offers extra capacity with plenty of slots available.

You won’t be asked any questions about your personal circumstances by the University team, and the information you submit on the app and your results will be processed confidentially by the NHS.
