Throughout September and October, the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) team will be offering our academic staff the opportunity to attend a training session aimed at guiding the use of the equipment in teaching spaces, with particular emphasis given to supporting the start of Semesters 1 and 2. The sessions will enable all staff to have confidence in the learning spaces and make the most of the available resources.

Overview of the training sessions

Each training session will offer the following:

  • A demonstration of how the learning space equipment works
  • Information on how to report an issue in the room
  • Information on the support processes
  • Information on what the rooms are capable of doing technically
  • An opportunity to meet the support teams and ask questions
  • An opportunity to familiarise yourself with some of the learning spaces, with technical support available to provide support

Semester one training schedule

Regular training sessions will be taking place for 6 weeks from the week commencing 16 September through to the week commencing 21 October. Sessions commencing between 25 September and 16 October are now available to book online (please see the timetable below), with further dates to be added shortly.

How to book

There will be 10 spaces available at each Using DDaT IT & AV Equipment in Learning Spaces session and all sessions will be delivered in person. The sessions are drop-in, and technical staff will be available for the duration of the slots detailed above.

It is recommended that all academic staff attend a session over the coming weeks as it will enable you to effectively understand and manage the technology in your learning spaces and ensure a smooth experience for both you and your students.
