We are thrilled to announce the launch of Visions of Science Art Prize 2020. This online exhibition is open to submissions from across the UK, with a special additional University of Bath Community Art Prize, free to enter for staff and students.

Visions of Science first took place in the Andrew Brownsword Gallery at The Edge in 2018 and attracted over 150 submissions of works that reflect, represent, capture or depict scientific phenomena studied in our Faculty of Science. The 2020 exhibition again asks artists within our community and beyond to take inspiration from science.

The University's Faculty of Science researches across biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematical sciences, pharmacy & pharmacology and physics, working collaboratively to challenge perspectives, their research changing the world we live in.

Visions of Science brings together art and science, both fuelled by our curiosity as humans to understand the world we live in and share our perspectives. All art forms will be considered for this online exhibition from paintings, drawings and photography to sculpture and performance art.

University of Bath students and staff are invited to enter up to three works in the Visions of Science Art Prize, and one artwork in the free Community Art Prize, exclusively for our campus community.

Both Art Prizes are open for submissions from Friday 8 May to Sunday 21 June 2020 and entries will be visible online during this time.
