Apply for the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Scheme 2018/19

If you are an academic or administrative staff, you can carry out a period of teaching or training at one of the University’s Erasmus+ partner universities.

The Erasmus+ staff mobility programme

This is an excellent opportunity for you to not only build on your existing skills while meeting staff from other universities in the same field, but also experience a different culture and work environment.

The Erasmus+ programme is the European Union's funding programme for education, training, youth and sport. It governs student and staff exchange agreements in European countries.

We have been awarded an Erasmus charter to take part in the programme.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be a contracted member of University staff. If you are planning teaching activities, there must be an Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional Agreement between Bath and the receiving institution.

Destinations

You can go to any EU country or Norway, Iceland, Turkey, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Liechtenstein.

The funding

The grant will consist of subsistence for a maximum of five days of teaching or training plus one day for travel.

Erasmus+ teaching mobility

You can deliver teaching at one of our Erasmus partner universities.

Staff teaching as part of their mobility must complete a minimum of eight hours’ teaching per week.

You can engage in activities such as:

  • lectures
  • seminars
  • workshops (leading)
  • mentoring activities with students

Erasmus+ training mobility

You can undertake a training event or undergo job shadowing, observation or training at a university in one of the selected countries.

The minimum duration of the training period must be two working days. The main purpose of a training visit is to share knowledge and experience as well as learn good practice from the host university.

This can include:

  • job shadowing
  • observation
  • attending workshops or courses
  • transferring knowledge and good practice
  • learning from shared experience
  • acquiring practical skills
  • discovering new ideas for teaching or learning

Conferences are not included.
