The annual One Young World Summit is attended by the most valuable young talent from global and national companies, NGOs, universities and other forward-thinking organisations as well as world leaders. Speakers have included Kofi Annan, Arianna Huffington, Emma Watson, Meghan Markle, Justin Trudeau, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Mary Robinson, Sol Campbell and Sir Bob Geldof.

Applications are open to students from the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences and School of Management. The trip will be fully funded by the Faculty and School.
One Young World Belfast takes place 2 - 5 October 2023.
The Plenary Challenges to be discussed at the Belfast summit are:

- Climate Emergency
- Food Crisis
- Education
- Mental Health
University of Bath delegates will need to be a current student during 2023-24. Students on placement and undertaking PhDs, are eligible to apply. However if you are selected as a delegate you must ensure you have permission to attend from your employer, supervisor, or your Director of Studies.
The two delegates chosen to represent the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences and the School of Management at OYW Belfast 2023 will also be required to Co-Chair the Student Organising Committee for the One Young World Bath caucus in March 2024.
In addition, we are recruiting for three team leaders for the OYWB 2024 student organising committee: Planning, Marketing and Relationship Directors. Along with the Co-Chairs, these leaders will begin preparations for the 2024 Bath caucus over the summer, supported by University staff.

The deadline for applications is Sunday 16 April 2023. In your application you will need to:
- explain how you would benefit from attending
- tell us if you’ve got a project or idea you’d like to develop on your return
You must also agree to the competition terms and conditions.
If you get shortlisted for the delegate places, you will be invited for interview to review your motivations and eligibility. This is expected to take place w/c 24 April. Online interviews can be arranged if you are on a placement or study year abroad.
