We're recruiting for casual commis chefs to join our hospitality team.
The University’s hospitality department provides food and drink to students, staff and external customers.
Summer is an exciting period for us as we turn into one of the biggest accommodation providers in the South West, opening our doors to a range of visitors and business guests.
We host a wide range of events, from conferences to summer schools.
Our guests use our many eateries, which offer a range of food and drink options.
From small coffee shops to large multi-counter food halls, we have a wide range of menus on offer.
This includes fine dining, vegetarian and Italian to name a few. We also cater for large, high-profile conferences and banquets.

We are currently recruiting for casual commis chefs. You will:
- have a passion for cooking high quality food
- support our team of chefs in making good quality, tasty food
- be comfortable working in high pressure environments
- ensure cleanliness and health and safety standards are met
You'll have a positive attitude, demonstrating an ability to work as part of a team.
You will be working a range of shift patterns depending on each outlet. This includes midweek, evenings, early mornings and weekends.
We will give you full training and provide your uniform.
The salary for this role is £9.28 an hour.
This role is a zero hours casual contract, with flexibility to work when you are available. We can offer a maximum of 36.5 hours per week.
