Coping with Low Mood and Depression Course
This free course introduces Cognitive Behavioural Theory (CBT) and techniques to manage low mood.
The course will look at the nature of low mood and depression and demonstrate different methods of dealing with these difficult emotions.
The facilitators will be teaching some theory around causes of depression/low mood and how it is maintained, as well as looking at techniques that address thought styles and behaviours which may contribute to ongoing problems.
This is a taught course, run in a group format, so although there will be some group discussion it is up to participants how much or how little they choose to take part.
The course will run for two hours per session over three consecutive weeks, starting on Wednesday 6 November from 2pm to 4pm. It is run by IAPT Services specifically for University of Bath students and will take place on campus.
Register via the IAPT website (scroll down to the correct course, it states "University of Bath students only")
