The provision of free universal symptomatic and asymptomatic testing for the general public in England ended on April 1 and therefore the University ceased weekly updates from March 27. For case numbers in the B&NES area, see their Covid-19 dashboard.

These figures include new confirmed Covid-19 cases that are reported to the University by our staff or students. They include students who are in University accommodation or in private accommodation in Bath and the local area, and staff who had contact with the University in the two days before experiencing symptoms, in line with Public Health England guidance.
The data prior to 11 January 2022 only includes positive cases validated by PCR testing. From 11 January 2022 confirmatory PCR tests are no longer required for all cases in England after a positive test using a Lateral Flow Device and so from that date the data includes positive LFD tests reported to the University.
The University has 3,500 staff and around 19,000 enrolled students.
