Data Science Scholarship

Funded by the Office for Students (OfS), a number of £10,000 scholarships are available for our MSc Data Science courses.

About the Data Science Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to support those from under-represented groups develop skills in data science and artificial intelligence.

The University of Bath has secured up to four £10,000 scholarships available for new students studying our MSc Data Science courses in September 2023.

These scholarships are funded by the Office for Students (OfS) and aim to increase diversity in the artificial intelligence and data science sectors and support students from under-represented groups to access, participate and succeed in higher education.

Students who successfully apply for a scholarship will receive £10,000 to help towards the cost of tuition fees, living costs and other associated costs.

Eligibility criteria

In order to apply for this scholarship you must:

In order to be eligible for these awards, you must also meet at least one of the criteria listed below. Priority for the scholarships will be given to the following 3 groups:

  • Female students
  • Black students
  • Registered disabled students

We will also consider the following areas:

  • Students from Indices of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) deciles 1 to 4
  • Care experienced students
  • Estranged students
  • Gypsy, Roma, Traveller students (resident in the UK)
  • Refugees (resident in the UK)
  • Children from military families, veterans and partners of military personnel
