If these funds are required, please state so in your application and the Doctoral College will contact you if you are successful in receiving an offer. Any request for childcare funds will not be considered as part of the selection process.

Eligibility

You can apply for this scholarship if, at the time of application, you are either a Lebanese national residing in Lebanon or a Lebanese student not residing in Lebanon. Priority will be given to applicants who reside in Lebanon. You must apply for a doctoral programme at the University of Bath and your intended PhD research project can be in any area of Management, Engineering, Data Science or AI.

You must have the support of a suitable member of academic staff at the University of Bath who would be willing to supervise you.

You will need to be able to demonstrate exceptional academic merit and/or potential.

If English is not your first language, you must also meet our English language entry requirement before the published application deadline. An exception will be made if you are currently in your final year of studies at a UK-based higher education institution and are due to graduate at the end of the 2024/25 academic year. In this case, entry to the University of Bath would be conditional upon the successful completion of your current course, and this would also count as evidence of English-language proficiency.

You must satisfy all visa and immigration requirements.

How to apply

We encourage applicants to identify and contact a suitable supervisor in order to develop their project and application. We will not be able to consider applications which do not name an intended supervisor on the application form.

Once you are ready to apply, identify your preferred doctoral programme and then click on the APPLY NOW button.

When completing the online application form, you must ensure that you:
