Experience the arts

Despite our reputation for creativity in the lab rather than on stage, our students and staff enjoy visual and performing arts as much as anyone else.

Discover thought-provoking classes, talks and workshops at our arts and creativity hub, The Edge.

In addition to innovative shows and exhibitions, you can sign up for all sorts of courses, from dance to music to painting.

If you have younger friends or family, feel free to introduce them to our monthly Create Clubs, half-term activities and family shows.

Promoting a two-way relationship

We are a member of the Student Community Partnership, which is a forum to enable the local Council, University and Students' Union to work together.

It's been set up to promote excellent two-way relationships between local higher education students and other members of their local communities. Topics for discussion include accommodation, transport, welfare, community relations, community safety and environmental issues.
