The University of Bath is offering one scholarship worth £10,000 to students in China applying for eligible postgraduate taught courses for 2022.

About the award

GREAT Scholarships 2022, launched by the British Council's Study UK campaign together with a number of other UK universities, supports students from 18 countries to access world-class UK higher education opportunities.

The Study UK campaign is offering 150 scholarships from UK universities to students across 18 countries around the world. It offers an exciting opportunity for students from these countries to get financial support to pursue postgraduate study in the UK.

Eligibility criteria

Find out if you're eligible for a GREAT Scholarship China.

To apply for this GREAT scholarship, you must:

  • hold an offer from the University of Bath for a full-time, postgraduate taught master's course* starting in 2022
  • be a national of mainland China and hold a Chinese passport
  • have international tuition fee status

We're looking for outstanding candidates with a background of academic success who have work experience or a proven interest in their proposed subject area.

GREAT Scholars

Explore what is expected of a GREAT Scholarship recipient if you are successful.

We welcome applications from students who are committed to their studies and who will be able to benefit from studying a postgraduate course at the University of Bath.

We encourage you to apply if you can demonstrate your interest in your chosen subject, through examples of your work or academic experience. GREAT scholars are expected to attend lectures and tutorials (whether online or in-person, as circumstances allow) and engage with extra-curricular activities.

Students will act as an ambassador for UK higher education by sharing your experiences and promoting the value of studying at a UK university. You may also be asked to attend a networking event with other GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences so we can capture perceptions of studying in the UK. After your studies, you will be expected to maintain contact with the British Council and act as an ambassador for GREAT.
