About the award
This scholarship scheme is part of the “GREAT Scholarships 2020” campaign, which has been launched by the British Council together with 36 UK universities to support more students in China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Turkey to access excellent UK higher education opportunities.
The total value of the scholarship programme is over £800K and offers an exciting opportunity for students from China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Turkey to get financial support to pursue postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at the 36 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

2 x up to £25,000 scholarships are available across the Faculty of Engineering & Design, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and School of Management* . Each scholarship is equivalent of one full tuition fee scholarship.
The final scholarship amounts will be dependent upon the tuition fee of the course.
These awards are available for all full-time, postgraduate taught master's courses* and can only be used as a tuition fee waiver.
To apply for this GREAT scholarship, you must:
- hold an offer from the University of Bath for a full-time, postgraduate taught master's course* starting in 2020
- be a national of India and hold an Indian passport
- have international tuition fee status
We're looking for outstanding candidates with a background of academic success who have work experience or a proven interest in their proposed subject area.
How to apply
Applications for the India GREAT Scholarship 2020 are open. To apply, you must complete the University of Bath scholarship application form using your application tracker.
We will ask you to complete 3-5 questions as part of the scholarship application process. If you are shortlisted for the award, we may ask you to attend a Skype interview.
