Targeting the Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the UN as a universal call to action to recognise the balance of social, economic and environmental sustainability.

List of the 17 Sustainable Development goals

Sustainable development is defined as 'meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs', taking into account impacts on people and our planet.

The SDGs can help us to consider sustainability in broader terms and to highlight the interconnected nature of our actions and impacts on people and planet.

We are taking practical action on a variety of goals throughout our Green Week including goals 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15.
