Mechanical Services Senior Technician (Chassis Dynamometer) - Fixed Term Contract

The University is seeking to recruit a Technician to support testing in our Chassis Dynamometer facility.


The Chassis Dynamometer facility is a state of the art four wheel drive rolling road with extensive engine emissions measurement and climatic control capability. You will form part of the team with responsibility for preparation of test vehicles, mounting to the test facility and conducting tests. In addition you will support maintenance and calibration of the facility and the installation of Portable Emissions Measurement Equipment (PEMS) to road going vehicles.

IAAPS Team Coordinator

The IAAPS Team Coordinator role is broad and varied, providing PA support to the Programme Director, as well as supporting the IAAPS Operational Team.


The Institute for Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS) will be a new research and innovation facility based at the Bristol and Bath Science Park. It will be industry-led and compete on a global scale to deliver future generations of advanced propulsion systems. The IAAPS Operational Team is now in place and we’re looking for a proactive, conscientious and organised individual to join us.

The IAAPS Team Coordinator will provide PA support to the Programme Director, and work with each member of the team (4 others). From taking minutes at project meetings, to supporting with events, the role is broad and varied and would suit someone keen to learn more about each project strand and play an active role in a busy team.
