If you're looking to study MSc Humanitarianism, Conflict and Development, then you can apply for funding to support you.
Funding for prospective students
Our Department of Social & Policy Sciences has funding to support new applicants on this part-time, distance-learning master’s course.
You can apply for this funding if you have received an offer to study MSc Humanitarianism, Conflict and Development for 2019/20.
To apply for this scholarship, you must have a high academic achievement; the equivalent of a 1st Honours degree or, exceptionally, a high 2:1 degree.
In addition, we will give strong preference if:
- you are from a low income country or countries considered to be of ‘high or moderate fragility’ as per Department for International Development
- you are from a country with a Humanitarian Response plan as per Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs list
- you hold one of the eligible immigration statuses as set out on the Sanctuary Scholarship scheme
The value of the scholarship is £4,000. This will be applied as a discount on your tuition fees (for 2019/20 this is £5,300 per year).
There are up to two scholarships available.
You must submit no more than 500 words in a Word document detailing why you think you should be considered. You should base this on previous academic achievements and/or relevant experience.
You can only apply for the scholarship after you have received an offer to study.
The deadline for scholarship submissions is 17:00 (BST) on Friday 7 June 2019.
