If you are chosen as a scholar, you will receive an award of up to £2,500.

Awards are made for one year in the first instance but are renewable annually subject to satisfactory progress. You may receive an award for a maximum of four years (excluding any placement years) and only while you are an undergraduate.


Eligibility criteria

To apply, you must:

  • have a household income of less than £45,000
  • be an eligible UK citizen
  • have lived in one of the following postcode areas before going to university: BS, BA, TA, DT, SP3/7/8, SN10/12/13/14/15 or GL9
  • be in any year of undergraduate study (except placement)
  • be studying Mathematics, Physics, Natural Sciences, Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
