As the world strives towards a more sustainable future, the cars we build and how we build them must adapt. Engineers and scientists hold the power to lead this innovation in sustainability. And at Bath, we have the expertise to train you to find sustainable transport solutions for the future of mobility.
We’ve designed four automotive master’s courses to give you the systems thinking knowledge, and the diverse and transferable skill set the sector searches for in its employees. All share a project-based approach, centred around a topical automotive theme set at the beginning of the course. This, along with shared units link the courses together to give you the benefit of working with students from different academic backgrounds for a truly transdisciplinary learning experience.
A future-first approach to sustainable mobility
To make sure our courses are relevant, we prioritise sustainability and explore the impacts of the sector on society and the planet. This reflects both the Engineering Council's guidance on sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our courses are taught by academics who are leading research in our Institute for Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems and other important areas of automotive engineering.
