Talk Club
A student-led talking and listening club for men to improve mental fitness
Talk Club is a talking and listening club for men, helping to keep you mentally fit by giving you a secure and private space to share and support others. There are no therapists, and there’s no judgement – just regular men, in a private and safe space, listening and talking.
Topics students have brought to the group include:
- exam stress
- relationship difficulties
- feeling isolated or lonely
Bath University’s Student Talk Club was established following a request from students at Bath, to have a student-led space for students who identify as men, to get together and talk.
Our Talk Club runs every week, in person, and is facilitated by two male students, Andre and Caine, who have been specially trained to deliver this project. Every session follows the same structure, that enables everyone in the group to share how they are and be listened to by others. Watch the 2 minute video below for an overview of how it works.
Talk Club is part of our male mental health campaign and runs in collaboration with the Bristol based charity Talk Club.
You can attend this Talk Club as often or as little as you like. Sign up to register and for more information.
Don’t forget, if you want to discuss any element of your mental health or wellbeing with a professional, you can book an appointment with our Wellbeing Service.
