Ways for school and college groups to experience the University

Find out more about how school and college groups can experience the University.

COVID-19 update

An update on how we are managing visits to the University in light of the situation.

For many years we have hosted school groups and individuals on campus for a variety of activities. We have similar challenges to schools with social distancing and capacity of our site and buildings and will therefore be limiting external visits to the University in the autumn (this will be kept under constant review in line with Government advice). There may be limited opportunities for year 13 potential applicants to visit the campus, but, unfortunately, we will be unable to host other groups on campus until 2021. In order to still support students to engage with the University we have a designed a virtual campus visit that will give students an insight into life at the University from the comfort of their classroom.

Virtual Campus Visits

Groups of students can engage with the University virtually

Teachers can organise a Virtual Campus visit for their year 10, 11, 12 or 13 students. These events will give students an insight into the University and can be tailored to suit the school group.

Spotlight on... Taster Events

Year 12 students can explore what learning and teaching is like at university

Our virtual events will give students a taster of what it is like to study at university in the current times. Students will explore the blended learning approach that the University is using through a mix of real online lectures, recorded in person lectures and live workshops and Q+A sessions.
