Requisites:
Aims: To provide an opportunity to integrate selected areas of pharmaceutical interest in depth; to structure and formulate the relationships between specialised subject areas and their wider relevance in the world of pharmaceutical science.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this unit, the student should be able to: evaluate critically current research and advanced scholarship, develop critiques of them, integrating knowledge gained from all aspects of the M.Pharm course, making sound judgements in the absence of complete data.

Content:
Areas of topical or potential interest in the pharmaceutical and related sciences will be chosen for study. The nature of the course dictates that the topics chosen will change from year to year. It is proposed to introduce each topic by means of an invited lecture or structured symposium; the subject will be further explored by directed student-centred learning, including the use of informal debates and formal small group tutorials.
