Aims: This unit provides the student with a detailed knowledge and practical understanding of the analysis of sports specific techniques. Learning Outcomes: At the end of this unit students will be able to: * Analyse the technical basis for the techniques identified by the International Federation. * Understand the key coaching points for each technique. * Investigate the application of the principles of sports specific technique * Develop effective intervention strategies to address technical errors. * Evaluate the technical range of a high level sports performer. Skills: This unit will include the following skills: * The assessment and facilitation of written communication. A/F * The teaching, facilitation of oral communication skills. T/F/A * The ability to work independently, part of a team, without close supervision or guidance. F * Ability to produce work to agreed specifications and deadlines.
