This Unit enables the practical application of theoretical knowledge of information governance in a healthcare setting and is taken concurrently with the study of the other sequential units. Study activities within Information Governance in Practice I will be scheduled to correspond to study in other units and reflect the increasing knowledge and expertise gained over time.
Information Governance in Practice develops practitioner-based skills delivered through work-based experiences, online case-based discussions and face-to-face courses, to include consideration and application of the following:
* Information Governance Toolkit - The role of the Information Governance Toolkit in the NHS.
* Information Governance Manager - role and responsibilities and how this is integrated into the wider organisational structure
* Case reviews - Examining Information Governance case, issues and incidents and the impact on the organisation
