Provides an enhanced understanding of technologies and methods relating to the definition, operation and management of distributed and collaborative production, service and logistics activities within international networks.

Learning Outcomes:
On completion of the module, the candidates will be able to:
* Describe strategic corporate considerations for international, distributed operations;
* Design international networks by taking into account production, service and logistics criteria;
* Evaluate the organisation of modern manufacturing supply chains;
* Develop competence profiling criteria and metrics that are relevant to a particular industry or market;
* Apply appropriate analysis and management techniques for the international and network aspects of modern engineering projects.

This unit is 40% assessed by coursework and 60% by examination.
