* To develop more advanced communication skills in written and spoken forms relevant to the international business context;
* To develop better skills in critical analysis of business texts and the production of written reports, summaries and analyses;
* To consolidate further students' intercultural competence in order to prepare them for social and professional interaction in a globalized world.

Learning Outcomes:
Building on semester one, on successful completion of this unit students will:
* Be able to show more sound communication skills in both written and spoken forms, with an advanced level of fluency, accuracy and appropriateness of language use;
* Have acquired a better familiarity with different types of business texts (style, terminology and syntactical features);
* Be able to demonstrate better mediation skills between the target culture and the culture of origin.

Skills:

* Precision and creativity in the use of written and spoken language;
* Effective communication in the target language;
* Independent learning strategies;
* Employability and transferable skills.

Content:

* Written Language: analysis of business texts; summarization, argumentation, essay writing, statistics, surveys and business terminology.
* Spoken language: group debate and discussion, individual presentations on a wide range of cultural, political, social subjects; audio-visual activities.
