Further information on descriptions Description: Aims:
This unit aims to extend students' knowledge of supply chain and logistics management by building on knowledge acquired in Supply Chain Management and Business Logistics Management to introduce more detailed theories and techniques. In particular, we will examine issues from different global perspectives including issues of policy and culture.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the unit, students should be able to:
* Integrate their knowledge from semester 1 to build a more detailed, critical and practical understanding of issues in supply management
* Understand policies and issues facing SCM managers from both national and global perspectives
* Evaluate options (including technological) available to SCM managers in different contexts

Content:
This unit extends the knowledge accumulated in semester 1 in Supply Chain Management and Business Logistics Management to explore key topics in more depth. It will cover these such as new product development, sustainable supply management and issues relating to innovation and technology. The unit seeks to provide rigorous academic content that may be readily applied in practical supply management situations.
