The aim is to provide students with an overview of the business areas in investment banking and the inherent conflicts of interest.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this unit, the student should be able to:
* define investment banking and its main business areas
* evaluate the conflicts of interests in investment banks
* understand and explain the main motivations of investment banks in their activities.
