Description: Aims:
This unit will introduce you to:
* the application of methods used to carry out calculations related to reaction engineering, separations processes, fluid flow and heat transfer for a range of multiphase and multicomponent chemical or biochemical engineering processes
* how these subjects are integrated in process design and analysis.

Learning Outcomes:
After successfully completing this unit, you will be able to:
* Recognize the thermodynamic and transport properties of fluids, solids and multiphase system (A2.2b, A2.2e) [CLO: K2]
* Recognize the principles of momentum, heat and mass transfer (A2.2c) [CLO: K2]
* Explain and classify the types of chemical reaction and reactors (A2.2f, A2a) [CLO: K2]
* Explain and classify the types of separation for fluids and solids formation and processing (A2a) [CLO: K2]
* Apply thermodynamics analysis involving multiple phases (A2.2c, A2.2e, A2.2d) [CLO: I1]
