Description: Aims:
Exchange: An opportunity to gain the experience of studying and living in a different country at an approved partner institution. Students should also have the opportunity of studying subjects not available at the University of Bath.
Placement: Develop and extend relevant skills and knowledge; Relate International Management theory to experience gained and evaluate its value in a practical context; Analyse a practical management problem.

Learning Outcomes:
Exchange: By the end of this unit, the student should be able to: Achieve learning outcomes specified in the modules taken in the partner institution; Appreciate differences in the approaches taken to management disciplines in overseas cultures.
Placement: Demonstrate ability to integrate theory from academic studies with practical experience in an international environment;
Performance of specialist tasks within an international managerial setting;
Reflect on the personal objectives set and critically evaluate achievements from placement

Skills:

* Understand and analyse the content of modules taken at the partner institution.
* Develop key skills relevant for the global workplace both on placement/exchange and after graduation, e.g. team-building, presenting, report-writing;
* Develop personal skills related to gaining employment, e.g. CV writing, interview technique etc.;
* Acquire practical professional skills and chosen industry-related knowledge.

Content:
Pre-placement preparation;
Total minimum 1 semester on exchange and 5 months (22 weeks) on work placement, adhering to the Code of Practice provided by the Placements Office; Placement Assignment; agreed exchange credits. Note: students would be able to complete one Semester on Exchange and 5 months (22 weeks) on placement.
