Description: Aims:

* Examine the nature, process, organisational context, and impact of entrepreneurship and innovation
* Expose students to the process associated with the generation, assessment, and development of business opportunities
* Encourage entrepreneurial, opportunity-oriented thinking.

Learning Outcomes:

* Comprehensive, in-depth understanding of the key components of entrepreneurship and innovation processes.
* Critical thinking about issues related to business venturing through the application of relevant theories.
* Identification of challenges and paths for development associated with pursuing business opportunities
* Application of entrepreneurial thinking to different business contexts.

* Skills required for managing a new venture, such as working in groups, managing time, organising and conducting meetings, presentation and other form of business communication and coordinating management functions and tasks.

* Nature, generation, assessment, and development of business opportunities
* Business models
* Entrepreneurial cognition
* Decision making under uncertainty and ambiguity
* Entrepreneurial finance
* Government policy in support of entrepreneurship and innovation
* Entrepreneurship in different business contexts.
