Description: Aims:
In today's business environment, an entrepreneurial mindset is important not only for entrepreneurs but also for business managers in every organization. The basic premise of this unit is that the current environment calls for a different mindset and skills of active perception, creativity, flexibility, experimentation, and reflection. The purpose of this unit is to build theoretical understanding and to facilitate the development of these skills.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this unit, students will:
* be able to develop a professional, integrated and convincing new venture creation proposal;
* demonstrate an understanding of how they can develop, work within and manage creative and effective teams;
* be able to deploy enterprise skills.

* Display a keen understanding of the natures of entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship, of the practices involved, and of how opportunities may be identified and explored in the market.

* appreciation of the interconnected nature of organisations and ability to apply both theoretical and practical understanding;
* operate effectively within teams as well as independently , assuming leadership roles where appropriate;
* apply practical decision-making methods and tools at both tactical and strategic levels;
* be self-directed and able to act autonomously in planning and implementing projects at professional levels;
* an ability to reflect on their earlier learning and practice, so as to integrate new knowledge with past experience and effectively apply it to new situations;
* an ability to develop a holistic perspective on an organisation and an understanding of how the different functions relate to one another.
