Requisites:
Aims: To introduce students to key research, concepts and principals of psychological wellbeing and habit management.
To enable students ti implement strategies for psychological wellbeing in their own lives

Learning Outcomes: Recognise the limits fo current understanding through introduction to debates in positive and behaviour change psychology.
Demonstrate knowledge of the theory and applications of positive psychology.
Demonstrate knowledege fo the theory and applications of behaviour change psychology.
Appreciate the relationship between positive and behaviour change psychology.
Appreciate ways that students can apply what they learn to their own lives.

Skills: Can demonstrate systematic knowledge and critical understanding of a range of influences on psychological wellbeing and how they interrelate.
Can reason scientifically, understand the role of evidence and make critical judgments about arguments in positive and behaviour change psychology.
Can undertake self-directed study and self-directed experiments to assess which of a range of habits works best in supporting their own mental wellbeing.
Are able to take charge of their own learning, and can reflect and evaluate personal strengths and weaknesses for the purposes of ongoing study.

Content: The course will cover areas of positive and behaviour change psychology where they converge on evidence-based practices that support psychological wellbeing. We will examine what we think makes us happy and what research shows really makes us happy, evidence-based practices that support psychological wellbeing and strategies for breaking negative habits and creating positive habits.
