  • Integrate chemical engineering knowledge, including from industrial and research, to construct a unit design using rigorous calculation by selecting appropriate mathematical modelling tools and software (A2.3a, A2.3c, A4.2c, A4.3b, A5.2a, A5.2b) [CLO: I3]
  • Formulate a sensitivity analysis to quantify the effect of incomplete data and uncertain justifications on the design (A4.3b) [CLO: P2]


Aims: This unit will introduce you to the short-cut and rigorous design, and optimisation of unit operations on chemical or biochemical process plant.
