Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

Aims: To enhance the production of authentic and accurate written and spoken German;
* To consolidate student's knowledge of complex grammatical structures;
* To apply the acquired skills to the production of a variety of German texts;
* To build on the communication skills acquired in YEAR 1; To improve oral proficiency and aural comprehension.

Skills: Precision and creativity in the use of written and spoken language;

* Adaptation to life in the target countries (preparation for year abroad)

Content: Written language:
* Selected grammar points, essay writing techniques, summary and creative writing, CV and cover letters.
Spoken language:
* Audio-visual material, presentations, debates, role plays, conversation, interview techniques.
