Aims: To provide an experience of project execution, management and reporting as close as possible to that likely to be encountered in UK industry.

Skills: After successful completion of this unit students will be able to:
Analyse complex problems breaking them down into a set of simpler problems which are tractable in the context of the knowledge, synthesise solutions to problems from existing knowledge and understanding, identify and acquire knowledge and understanding directly relevant to the solution of a problem integral to the student's project, author and produce written reports to a technical and literary standard consistent with the normal requirements of UK industry - facilitated and assessed, design and deliver oral reports appropriate to an engineering audience, manage research, design, and/or development projects in an effective and professional way, to operate within the appropriate code of professional conduct, recognising obligations to society, the profession and the environment.
