Learning Outcomes: After taking this unit you will be able to:
  • Carry out basic laboratory skills
  • Interpret and analyse experimental data
  • Report on practical work by presenting reasoned and coherent arguments and analyses.



Synopsis: This unit is where you will do the practical work associated with your choice of science subjects and you will learn how to document your lab work according to the requirements of different disciplines. You will also learn Python programming and a selection of analytical skills appropriate to your scientific preferences. Alongside these activities, you will work in small groups to explore a range of interdisciplinary science problems.

Content: You will undertake skills training in your two chosen subjects, augmented by interdisciplinary science sessions.
