Learning Outcomes: |
After taking this unit, students will have an advanced understanding of key strategic HR practices, and how they link with broader people management areas such as how talent management influences recruitment and selection as well as training and development.
The students will have an understanding of the meaning as well as the differences between a variety of strategic HR practices, and the different organisational characteristics that might influence how the practices impact on individual and organisational outcomes. |
Aims: | 1. The aim of this unit is to provide an in-depth analysis of key 'strategic' human resource management practices in organisations.
2. This unit aims to develop a critical understanding of what key strategic HR practices are, theoretically, and how they are implemented in practice. It will focus on how different practices and characteristics of organisations are aligned with such strategies. |
