12.15pm 1.05pm 4 West 1.7 How the PGT programmes work with Director of Studies - Ben Adams.
2.15pm 3.05pm 4 West 1.7 Introduction to the Library with Tamsin Reilly.
4.15pm 5.05pm Zoom Climate literacy : Work with other students in this interactive session to explore the climate emergency, how the University is responding and how you can get involved.

Wednesday 28 September

Start Finish Location Description
9.15am 5.00pm 4 West 4.6 Individual meetings with Director of Studies - Ben Adams - to discuss unit choices and research project interests. You will be able to book a meeting here from 26 September.
10.15am 11.05am MS Teams Be the Change: Understand the community of the University of Bath, and how you can be an active bystander and promote equality.

Thursday 29 September

Start Finish Location Description
9.15am 5.05pm 4 West 1.7 Software Training with Dr Eike Müller. An introduction to some useful software packages e.g. VScode, Git, Rstudio, Anaconda, Jupyter, NumPy, Unix. You will need your laptop, university username and password.

Friday 30 September

10.15am 3.05pm 4 West 1.2 Python programming and problem-solving workshop with Ben Adams, Chris Budd, Kirill Cherednichenko, and Matt Nunes.

As well as these compulsory events, you can also get involved in optional activities run by The SU.

We have set up a Microsoft Team for your course. You can use this to ask questions and start to get to know the people on your course. You will be able to access this from mid-September.
