Wednesday 25 September

9.30am 12.30pm 4 West 1.7 Wolfson Lecture Theatre Optional tutoring training, Dr Geoff Smith. You must attend this if you wish to assist with teaching during your studies

Individual meetings with postgraduate taught Director of Studies
3.05pm onwards 4 West Social Space Maths postgraduate social activity

Thursday 26 September

9.15am 5.05pm East Building 0.9 Software training: UNIX and GIT, Dr Eike Müller. Tea/coffee and lunch will be provided

Friday 27 September

Start Finish Location Description
11.15am 2.05pm East Building 0.9 Software training: R training, Matlab, LaTeX or Python. You will only complete one of these topics and will need to complete a worksheet beforehand so we can assess your learning requirements

Make sure you check your emails regularly. Sometimes we need to change the times and locations of Welcome Week events but we’ll email you the new details if that happens.

As well as these compulsory events, you can also get involved in optional activities run by your Students’ Union, The SU.
