School of Management social media giveaway terms and conditions

The terms and conditions for taking part in the Instagram competition ending on 5 April 2023.

  1. The promoter is: The University of Bath School of Management whose registered office is at Claverton Down, Bath, BA2 7AY.
  2. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  4. This competition is in four parts and there will be four individual winners.

  6. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  7. The final closing date for the competition will be 5 April 2023. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted. Each week, there will be a different theme with a different deadline: Theme 1 – Prettiest picture of campus – start date: Tuesday 7 March 2023 Deadline: Wednesday 15 March 2023 Theme 2 – Your favourite study spot in Bath – start date: Thursday 16 March 2023 Deadline: Wednesday 22 March 2023 Theme 3 – Your happiest memory at Bath – start date: Thursday 23 March 2023 Deadline: Wednesday 29 March 2023 Theme 4 – Best sunset you’ve captured in Bath – start date: Thursday 30 March 2023 Deadline: Wednesday 5 April 2023
  8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  9. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows: Users must follow @bathsofm on Instagram. They must tag @bathsofm and use the hashtag #mySoMmemories in their entries focused on each week’s theme. To be eligible for this competition, we must be able to see your photos. In order for us to see your entries, you will either need to have a public account or give us your Instagram handle so we can follow you. If you do not have Instagram, you can email your photos to: with the subject line: School of Management Instagram photo competition.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  11. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  12. The prize is a School of Management branded water bottle.
  13. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  14. Winners will be chosen at random.
  15. The winner will be notified by Instagram direct message within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  16. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.
  17. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  18. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  19. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  20. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

  23. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. You are providing your information to the University of Bath School of Management and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the Privacy Policy.
  24. The University of Bath School of Management’s decision as to those able to take part and selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
  25. The University of Bath School of Management shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
  26. The University of Bath School of Management also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
