Before you begin

The only prerequisite for this course is a knowledge of Microsoft Windows, however a basic working knowledge of MS Teams would be beneficial. This can be gained from the 'Smarter Meetings and Collaboration with Teams' course.

  • Delivery Method: Tutor led, over Teams, with a recording of the session to refer back to
  • Course Duration: 1.5 hours maximum

What you will learn

Microsoft Teams is an application already in use in the University of Bath for collaborative working, remote meetings/conference calls and communication. This course looks at using this application to arrange, deliver and record remote teaching sessions. You will learn how to:

  • Create a teaching session and invite students to it
  • Create breakout groups
  • Use the Chat bar as a register and Q&A facility
  • Share your screen
  • Record the session and access the recording afterwards
  • Use the 'Together' view (when released by Microsoft)
  • Use the Teams technology for ice breakers/interactive exercises

  • Select Learning & Training along the top
  • Search Learning Activities for Teams
  • Select the date you wish to book
  • Complete any other details, as you wish
  • Select Save
