Speaker profiles

Professor Markus O Heller is Professor of Biomechanics at the University of Southampton. His work focuses on the relationship between activities of daily living and the associated internal loads on the musculoskeletal system.

Dr Andrew Phillips is Senior Lecturer at Imperial College. He specialises in structural biomechanics, and in particular the development of combined musculoskeletal and finite element modelling approaches.

Dr Gianluca Tozzi is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth. His interests include 3D/4D X-ray Computed Tomography (XCT) and digital volume correlation (DVC) of biological tissues and biomaterials.

Professor Ruth Wilcox is Director of the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Leeds. Her research interests include development and evaluation of medical devices and interventions for the musculoskeletal system.
