The Applicant Visit Day is a good chance to meet current and future students.

Welcome Point

Throughout the day, you can visit the Welcome Point in The Chancellor's Building to ask any questions you have. You can talk to current students and staff about:

  • academic skills
  • accommodation
  • admissions
  • funding
  • living and studying in Bath

Student Ambassadors

During the day, our Student Ambassadors, dressed in red, will be on campus. They are here to give directions and answer any questions you have about the University. They're the best people to tell you what living and studying here is actually like.

Food and drink

Lime Tree café will be open from 8am on the day, serving drinks and breakfast. Lime Tree is directly opposite the Welcome Point. Find other places to eat on campus.

Talks and tours

Central talks

The central talks are given by current staff and students, giving you an insight into life at the University and the support we offer our students. They are scheduled to start before your individual department activities.

Students' Union (SU) - 9.30am to 9.50am

Find out more about student life and the vision of the Students' Union from our SU officer team.

Student Services - 9.55am to 10.15am

Find out about the support and guidance offered to students, including:

  • counselling and mental health support
  • disability support
  • money management
  • international student advice

Academic Skills Centre - 10.20am to 10.40am

Our Academic Skills programmes help current students reach the highest levels of academic achievement in their studies, future careers and beyond. Programmes cover academic writing, giving presentations and more.

Accommodation tours

Student Ambassadors give guided tours of student accommodation, showing rooms in several different accommodation blocks on campus.

Tours start from The Chancellors Building foyer every 20 minutes from 1pm. They last about an hour.

These tours are very popular and we have a limited number of places on each. Places on each tour are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sports Training Village tours

There are guided tours of our Sports Training Village at:

  • 12.30pm
  • 1.30pm
  • 2.30pm
  • 3.30pm

Tours start from the front of the Sports Training Village.

You can also pick up a self-guided tour leaflet from the Sports Training Village reception desk and look at our brand new gym, Olympic legacy pool and the other sports facilities available to our students.

Library tours

There are guided tours of our Library at:

  • 12.45pm
  • 1.45pm
  • 2.45pm
  • 3.45pm

You can also take a self-guided tour. Ask for information at the Library reception. The Library is open 24 hours a day.

Getting to campus

Parking is free in all campus car parks on Saturday 21 April, but there will be high demand for spaces on the day. Find out more about getting to the Applicant Visit Day.
