The lecture will provide an insight into North Korea

The focus of this lecture will be strategic: What kind of strategies could produce peaceful outcomes in North Korea? The talk will also engage and advise strategic choices of the United Kingdom.

An eminent UK foreign policy official (to be confirmed) will join the talk as a discussant, and afterwards, there will be a question and answer session between the speakers and the audience.

The lecture is funded by the International Relations Office.

Speaker profiles

Professor Chung-in Moon is Special Adviser to the President of South Korea. He was formerly the Ambassador for International Security Affairs of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Northeast Asian Cooperation Initiative, a cabinet-level post. He was appointed as Global Chair 2017/18 for the University of Bath in January 2018.
