This month's interview
Our interview this month is with Louis Bollard, School of Management alumnus and founder of Host a Fan. Host a Fan is a community of like-minded rugby supporters hosting each other on their away trips. A sort of 'airbnb' for rugby fans. Instead of spending on hotels and other accommodation providers, local supporters host travelling fans in exchange for being hosted on their own away trips. As well as the cost saving, Host a Fan enables supporters to enjoy a more localised, cultural experience and kick-off a friendship that lasts beyond the final whistle. There are plans to do the same in other sports too, such as football and cricket and then further afield, by connecting like-minded people for hosting exchanges.
Louis will be talking to us about his experiences so far, allowing us to get an understanding of how he’s planning to commercialise his venture, his expansion plans and his biggest business challenges to date.
