The Winter School is an excellent opportunity for you to undertake face-to-face study whilst working towards your Doctor of Education qualification.
At the Winter School you can:
- exchange ideas with other educators from all around the world
- meet staff and students from our Department of Education
- use the campus facilities
- visit the world-renowned city of Bath
If this is your first EdD unit, you will receive an introduction to the course on the first day of Winter School.
We're expecting that it will be possible to teach on the University of Bath campus during Winter School, but will be constantly monitoring the Covid-19 situation in the coming months.
If we cannot proceed safely with on-campus teaching, we expect to offer units through (online) directed learning as an alternative. We will then contact those who have enrolled to ask if they wish to transfer to a directed learning unit, or to plan instead to attend Summer School on campus in summer 2021. Any deposit already paid will be transferable to a different form of study.
13 to 20 January
20 to 27 January
The unit fee is £1,900. There is an additional £50 administration charge per application.
You must pay a £250 deposit when enrolling for the Winter School.
Unless exceptional circumstances have been agreed by the Director of Studies, the per unit deposit is non-refundable.
It will not normally be possible to change units once an application has been made.
We are not able to provide University accommodation during Winter School, but you can find information on where to stay in Bath.
