On the night you will be able to sign up for individual appointments with our alumni volunteers to find out everything, from what they wish they’d known at the beginning of their careers, to their top tips for success in the recruitment process and work place.

As part of his role at RBC Capital Markets, James focuses on structuring debt for M&A deals across multiple sectors including infrastructure, energy, TMT, healthcare and industrials. Prior to working at RBC Capital markets, James worked at Société Générale as part of the Energy Advisory & Project Finance team where he advised clients in offshore wind, LNG, and gas networks. Prior to joining SG, James gained broad experience across the project finance market while at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland. During this time, James worked on multiple mandates across renewable and conventional power in the EMEA region.
(BSc Business Administration 2010) - Associate Director, St James’s Place Wealth Management
Luke’s role as an Associate Partner at St. James's Place Wealth Management involves financial planning and wealth management responsibilities. His areas of expertise include financial lifestyle planning, wealth management, retirement planning and intergenerational wealth planning. Prior to joining St. James’s Place Wealth Management, Luke was a Manager at PwC where he was responsible for financial due diligence within Transaction Services.
(MA Contemporary European Studies: Politics, Policy and Society 2010) - Executive Manager, Private Family Office of HNWI and Expatriate Life Coach
As an Expatriate Coach Margarita helps people who are planning to move abroad to prepare for a smooth transition, as well as coaching people who are already living abroad to successfully integrate into their new lives. At the same time Margarita is managing a Private Family Office of a HNWI. This is an interesting, all-encompassing role, where every day is different. Prior to becoming Expatriate and Life Strategy Coach, Margarita built her career in the NGO/charity sector. After completing a Masters she secured her first job in the business sector in Rome, Italy.
(MSci Natural Sciences 2018) – Policy Advisor, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
Urvashi’s role as a Brexit Policy Advisor in Defra involves drafting documents and briefings for ministers on international trade. This allows ministers to make informed decisions and have a strong justification for their standpoint in the EU negotiations. I also work on drafting policy for potential “no deal” scenarios and their implementation. Previously, she worked for Dstl (Defence Science and Technology Laboratory) researched and testing military kit, analysing the results and creating reports and presentations that allowed users to make more informed purchasing decisions.
