@Home with the REF guidance on impact
Find out about the guidance for requirements around impact and the development of Impact Case Studies, for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021.
The final guidance for REF 2021 has recently been launched. This allows us an opportunity to think about the various elements and tasks in more concrete terms.
This session will focus on the guidance pertaining to the requirements around impact and the development of Impact Case Studies.
We will highlight the relevant guidance and explore key concepts in more detail, including reach and significance. We will also encourage some discussion about what this means for the various Units of Assessment that Bath are submitting to.
The session is of immediate relevance to those drafting or assisting in the development of Impact Case Studies for REF 2021. However it is also open to those thinking about how to prepare themselves and their research for the next REF, especially the need for evaluation and accurate recording of pathways to impact.
Register your attendance using the online registration form by Tuesday 12 March.
The REF is conducted jointly by Research England (RE), the Scottish Funding Council (SFC), the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) and the Department for the Economy, Northern Ireland (DfE).
